Latin for “The Golden Flame”
Flamma Aurea was created in celebration of His Majesty the King’s birthday, as a tribute to the enduring symbolism of the golden flame — representing light, vitality, continuity and the power of the human spirit.
The work was created as a celebratory piece and later donated to the Royalist Association’s charity auction during the Spring Ball, held in association with the Childhood Foundation.
Through its title and luminous expression, Flamma Aurea explores the idea of the flame as both a symbol of celebration and generosity — a light that can be passed from one person to another. The donation gave the artwork a further purpose beyond the studio, allowing it to contribute to a charitable cause and become part of a shared celebration.
For me as an artist, the work represents the meeting of art, tradition and philanthropy — where a work of art can carry meaning not only through its visual expression, but also through what it gives back.
